“49 candles on our Communion Table this morning, all leading to the Christ Candle, while also encircling the Community Candles (in brass). 49 souls are now in the eternal presence of God, and they gather with the saints of God in heaven and on earth as we celebrate the promise and hope of Christ through Holy Communion.”

A few years back, the committee chairs (and their committee members) for Christian Education and Membership joined forces to plan a summer picnic to celebrate the end of the Sunday school year. The chairs had such a good time working together that we asked the Christian Action/Outreach chair to join us in planning events for the life of the SPCC church. The Pastor joined in on the meetings. Finally, Worship, Growth, and Property Committee chair activity brainstorming was included in the every 6 week meetings. Renee Estep came up with the name by using the first letters of the Committee names.
We now represent 6 committees with active chairs, church members, church staff, and the Pastor brainstorming, laughing and discerning God’s direction in the activities in the life of SPCC. Please come see what CAMEO is all about at our next meeting on Thursday, February 18 at 6:30PM in the Fellowship Hall.
Come join us for fun and fellowship…and usually we have chocolate too!
