Attic Sale, This is Our 50th Year!attic sale 2

Our 50th Annual Attic Sale is planned for Friday 3/9/18 @ 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM and Saturday 3/10/18 @ 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM. * We will be accpeting donations Sunday, 3/4/18 – Wednesday, 3/7/18. If you are dropping off doantions on Sunday, 3/4/18 -please do after 12:00 noon until 4:00 PM. Monday through Wednesday we will have someone her to accept doantions between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

Come out and find the treasure that you have been hunting for! Proceeds from this sale not only benefit the Church but many non-profit organizations including students at Montclaire Elementary School.

Welcome Back Sunday- September 10th

freelibrariesonSPCCgroundsJoin us this Sunday, September 10th as we welcome everyone back from a busy Summer! We will begin the day with Bible Study @ 10:00 AM. During Worship we will hear the creation story from Genesis 1:1-2:4a, Pastor Bruce will preach a sermon titled, “God Saw That It is Good” and we will end the service out on the grounds where we will dedicate two small Free Libraries (one for children and one for adults). Then it’s back inside for a Spaghetti Dinner prepared by our youth group. All are welocme and invited to attend any or all of these events.  We are an Open and Affirming congregation of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). We are located at 6650 Park South Drive in Charlotte, NC 28210.

Sunday, August 6th- Charlotte Knights baseball game, meet @SouthPark Christian Church                                  (6650 Park South Dr.) at 3:45 to Carpool to the stadium 

Monday, August 7th- 6- 8PM Bible Trivia (Jeopardy) and pizza

How Does SouthPark Christian Church Support Social Justice Issues?

SouthPark Christian Church works very hard to Support a variety of Social Justice Issues and non-profit Organizations .There are a variety of Social Justice issues to get involved with here at SouthPark Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).   Here are just a few examples of how we put “Mission First.” in 2016

Community Garden;  dozens of volunteers gave 200 hours of time providing food for those in need.

Crop Walk; 9  volunteers gave 36 hours of time to raise money to feed hungry people around the world.

We collected and donated 1,000. pounds of food to Loaves and Fishes.

Our ‘Soul Kitchen’ Ministry cooked and delivered 353 meals, 10 volunteers gave 1,248 hours and drove 3,408 miles.

We continued to develop our relationship with McCreesh Place, an organization that works to end homelessness in Charlotte.

We supported the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network in their  work to increase funding for Pancreatic Cancer research.  and we supported ‘Week of Compassion’ ministry of our denomination the  Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) that works to provide disaster relief to those in need and humanitarian aid to refugees around the world.
